1. Narendra Modi secured the largest mandate any Indian prime minister has won since 1984 in the country's general election in April 2016.



2. He was entered into an arranged marriage as a teenager to Jashodaben Chimanlal. When he filed his nomination for prime minister, he was forced to acknowledge the marriage after nearly five decades of claiming to be single.

3. Modi is the first prime minister of India, who born in the independent India.

4. Modi was only granted a visa to visit the United States when he was elected leader, as the US government denied one for nine years for his failure to stop communal riots that killed more than 1,000 people – the majority of them were Muslims – when he was chief leader of the state of Gujarat.

14. When he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, he was instrumental in improving the state’s financial condition making it one of the best investment hubs for business magnates. His government ensured that every village in Gujarat receives electricity and the ‘Jyotigram Yojana’ was formulated to turn this vision into a reality. Ahmedabad, which is the largest city of Gujarat, ranked third in World’s fastest growing states list by Forbes in the year 2010. The first two in the list are Chinese cities Chongqing and Chengdu.

15. He has amazing will power and has lot of energy to work whole day, at the time of general election 2014 Modi travelled more than 3 lakh kilometres and 25 Indian states for his campaign and rallies.
