This tranquil state, blessed with
breathtaking natural beauty, is also the home to one of the humblest and most
honest communities in India, the Mizos.Mizo people are one of the humblest clan
existing today. Mizoram has shops where people go to buy things and
yet they need not meet any shopkeeper! Well, weird thing to learn but yes,
there exists such a place in this world where one can sell and buy things without
a shopkeeper! Lets find out more, about this beautiful style of selling things

1 . In the Mizoram there are so many villages are
there, where you can find shops without the shopkeepers.
2 . These shops are the weirdest thing in the
world because of their style of selling things, yes there exist such a place in
this world, where one can sell and buy things without a shopkeeper.

3 . These shops are known as ‘Nghah Lou Dawr’ in
the local language. Shops which are available along the highways of most of the
Mizo villages and this is the most
common thing in there, but still very strange thing for us. These shops are the
symbol of goodwill and honesty.
4 . On the highways along Mizoram’s villages,
shop owners sell mostly the food products from the forest and try to sell these
in their own way, which is completely different from the entire world.

5 . All the things or product for the shop kept
for selling there on the home made wooden table, with the complete price list
which also a hand made price list .

6 . For earning from their products, they used
some boxes for collecting the money. People can be seen going through the shops
and then grabbing whatever they need before putting the cost in to the
containers lying beside the products, customer can also pick up the change from
the same container.
7 . These farmers or villagers
comes there on the shop every morning, kept their products there, maintain the
price list and leave the shop for the whole day. After that, villagers go for
their works on the fields. All the while they are at the farm, people crossing
the area drop in to purchase the wares and put the desired amount into the box.
8 . Mizo people are known as the humble, honest and very serene approach to
life. 'Tlawmngaihna' is an untranslatable term which actually means to be
always kind, hospitable, unselfish and helpful to others. One can never witness
any discrimination in this state amongst the people whether it be on the basis
of caste and creed or sex.
The farmers of these villages of
Mizoram are the great example of faith and honesty for all of us. It is
wonderful to see how small scale these farmers in Mizoram are
entrusting their business to the honesty of their faceless customers. Proud
of the prevalence of such shops, locals say that it has been
possible due to the enduring honesty of people. The thing which makes the
shop owners happy is the fact that their customers never fail them. And
yes these simple shop shows that where the trust is reciprocated, honesty flourishes.
